Going to Burgundy with Monsieur de Floride

Over these weeks suggestions are being offered on transportation, hotels, and restaurants, interrupted by a report from November’s Hospices de Beaune Auction.  We have covered transportation, hotels, and the Hospices de Beaune Auction weekend, so today we speak of restaurants.  Back episodes (with more detail and links) are stored at Terroir-Wine-Seminars.com.

There was a time when eating in Burgundy meant Jambon Persillé (cold ham terrine), Escargots, and Chicken in Cream Sauce.  Today, everything goes – Asian Fusion, Foamy Construction, Parisian Haute Cuisine, and traditional hearty Burgundian fare.  One constant is certain, though – you can drink very well! There are new spots opening literally monthly, so this is not a complete list by any means, but they do include some personal preferences.  Contact information for all of these is on my web site.

Modern / Fancy

Le Montrachet in Puligny Montrachet
